Kieren asked to attend art lessons as he wanted to improve his colouring skills.
I found The Art People on the 3rd floor of Beauty World since Kieren has another class in Beauty World. He joined the K.I.S Art Program.
I am pleased that the drawing skills taught at The Art People can be applied in academic areas of science & math as students are taught 3D drawing (such as drawing of boxes & cylinders).
Most importantly, Kieren's colouring skills have improved (he has learnt techniques such as colour blending). He enjoys his art lessons with The Art People and has benefitted from individual attention. There is a relaxed atmosphere and a friendly feeling between the teachers and students.

With Teacher Kassie's and Teacher Xaiver's guidance, she has become more confident and has started exploring with the materials that she uses and shows creativity in her doodles at home.
I must say that her psychomotor skills improved tremendously after attending the art lessons.The child is allowed to progress in her own pace and tailored to suit each child too.
As Jennisa mummy, I am very happy that she enjoys learning new techniques every week and looks forward to the classes so much.

I remembered when my husband and I first went to enquire about the art program for my 5yr old girl at The Art People, we were impressed that the curriculum included 3D drawings and their strong beliefs on core foundations. We signed up on the spot and even enrolled my 3yr old boy.
We have been with them for 3yrs and counting. The lessons are individually paced, so both my kids are able to attend the class together even though they are in different programs. This gives me and my husband the precious couple time that working parents lack. It also saves us the hassle of sending them to the centre twice a week for 2 different programs. The personal feedback at the end of each session allows me to understand the progress of my children. With each feedback, parents and teacher worked closer to provide a better art program for the child. This is the kind of personal touches that a lot of enrichment programs in the market lacks today. I see my son having better writing skills compared to my girl due to his core foundation course in the art program. The childcare teachers also praised my boy's colouring and drawing skills. These are just the obvious benefits of attending art lessons at The Art People. Most importantly, I do see my kids enjoying drawing as they grow and be able to use their art pieces to tell a story that they have in their mind. |
